SoftBank Robotics Australia Rolls Out Gausium Cleaning Robots Across
Salter Brothers’ Accor Hotels

Sydney, Australia —May 2025— SoftBank Robotics Australia, in partnership with McLaren Technologies, has rolled out Gausium Phantas commercial cleaning robots across eleven Accor-branded hotels owned by Salter Brothers. The robots are now in daily use, supporting housekeeping teams with core cleaning tasks across a range of properties.

These multi-function robots—able to vacuum, mop, sweep and dust—are helping hotels manage routine cleaning more efficiently. Staff can now focus on higher-value tasks such as room preparation and guest service, improving day-to-day operations without compromising on quality or cleanliness.

The roll-out follows a successful trial and assessment of the robots’ performance and cost-effectiveness. Properties now using Phantas include Novotel Sydney City Centre, Mercure Melbourne Southbank, Mercure Sydney Blacktown, The Sebel Sydney Martin Place, Mercure Sydney Bankstown, Mercure Sydney Macquarie Park, Mercure Sydney Manly Warringah, Ibis Styles Sydney Central, Mercure Newcastle, Mercure Perth on Hay, and Mercure Brisbane Garden City.
