Started in 2009 and developed into a B2B2C event in 2018, Ageing Asia – World Ageing Festival (WAF) is an annual event that serves as the region’s most influential platform on the business of ageing.  This year, WAF 2020 went hybrid, presenting 23 days of content and over 170 sessions, both online and offline, and attracted a global audience of private, government and community sectors, and older people aged over 60 from 35 countries, 5,000 participants, 150 speakers, and a showcase of the world’s top 100 products that will improve the quality of living and happiness of senior citizens in Asia Pacific.

Softbank Robotics Asia Pacific (SBR APAC) participated in the two-day offline trade show on 24 and 25 November, held at One Farrer Hotel as a finale to the month-long festival.  A booth showcasing Whiz, dropped a teaser video on upcoming disinfection add-on module to give attending guests a “first-look” of the sought-after feature.

During one of the programme highlights, Ageing Asia Innovation Forum (AAIF), SBR APAC Healthcare Scientific Expert Dr Michelle Zhang, CIO, Laviana Pharma, Visiting Professor at Nankai University, and Singapore Sales Director Eric Lim took the stage to discuss on the Trend Predict: Future of technology innovations for infectious disease management, Singapore, over a fire-side chat and the session was moderated by Janice Chia, the Managing Director for Ageing Asia Alliance.

The one hour sharing concluded with a Q&A session where our speakers answered the guests queries on robotic solutions, particularly in the elder care industry.
